“Be the change you wish to see in the world” always rang true in my head and heart. As a young girl, I wish I had mentors besides my parents to guide me through life’s journey.
Growing up in New York, in the early 90s, the only women my sister and I had as role models besides our mother were the ones on our box tv. They were always singing about some guy or baring bodies trying to impress people, usually those same guys. Needless to say, I made many mistakes along my journey to womanhood. From setting priorities to understanding self worth and self care, there were many stumbles and life delays because I lacked the knowledge of who I was and what I was capable of.
Now the mother of two amazing girls, it is my passion to equip ladies of all ages with the tools they need on their individual journeys. That’s what Kingdom Girls, Inc. is all about, developing and supporting young girls through the challenges of adolescence and young adulthood. By combining my decade-long experiences in social work and mental health as well as our team’s professional and personal experiences, our goal is to ensure that our participants have access to consistent support throughout the course of their development. We have created a space where young women find freedom to express themselves, gain confidence and evolve.
